Kate Morrissey – Counselling and Supervision

I am a warm and empathic therapist with 19 years counselling experience. I can work with individuals, couples and groups. My training is in the person centred approach but I also view myself as an existential therapist and I can also offer mindfulness teaching if desired.

I am a feminist with a special interest in working with women. I am a bisexual woman and have worked extensively around issues of sex and sexuality. I am also very experienced in working with young people and people from diverse cultures. I prefer to use a trauma-informed holistic approach than a medical model of mental health.

I am based in Levenhulme, South Manchester. Unfortunately my counselling room is not accessible to wheelchair users, but on occasion I can hire an accessible alternative. I offer sessions Monday – Friday between 10am and 5pm.

My usual fee is £45-50 per session but I can offer concessions to people on very low incomes.
